About Thurston Middle School

Thurston Middle School serves students in grades 6-8, and provides core instruction for every student in four academic subjects: math, science, language arts, and social studies.

In addition to core instruction, students participate in a FLEX class every day to receive additional support or enrichment in reading, math, or other subjects.  

Opportunities for athletics through our partnership with Willamalane, access to clubs, and various affinity groups provide ways for students to connect outside the classroom and build relationships with staff and other students.

School Hours

Regular School Hours (All 6-8 Students)
School begins each day at 8:15 a.m. (doors open at 7:50 a.m. for breakfast) and dismissal is at 3:05 p.m.

Early Release School Hours (All 6-8 Students)
School begins each day at 8:15 a.m. (doors open at 7:50 a.m. for breakfast) and dismissal is at 1:15 p.m.

Office Hours

• On school days, the office opens at 7:50 a.m. and closes at 4 p.m.
• On days that students are not in school but the staff are present the office is open from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
• On other days, the office is closed, except by appointment.
